The "user" property in registration used by the application service has been deprecated as of Synapse v1.85. Need to ensure the /registration endpoint is used with the "username" property instead. A future version (v1.88 or later) will drop support for legacy application service login. See https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/blob/develop/docs/upgrade.md#application-service-registration-with-user-property-deprecation
